Hello families. By now, most of you know me well enough that how fiercely I adore your children probably comes as no surprise and needs no further explanation. However, I feel compelled to inform you that, officially, I feel incredibly thankful for each day that I get to spend teaching and learning with the 5/6s & 6/7s. They continue to amaze and inspire me, particularly in their ability to support and accept all that each member of our community is working on. If only our global community internalized this same empathy and motivation to celebrate individuality, revel as personal milestones are met, accept differences, work together, share strategies for problem solving and learning, and delight in shared experience. What a great model for humankind. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of your children’s lives.

I will leave you with the words of the children…

Colby 11:24c2“I am thankful because we have food and houses and for colors.”

Knox 11:24“I am thankful for treats. I am thankful for chocolate milk and I am thankful for my trophy.”

Thome 11:24b2“I am thankful for presents from Daddy at Australia. I am thankful for having what I need in my life. And my teacher, she is fun. I feel thankful for treats.”

Thom 11:24t2“I’m thankful for having a nice family. I’m thankful for living in a nice town.”

Roo 11:24“I am thankful for water so we can stay alive and I am thankful for my new baby cousin and trees and chocolate milk and a little bit of treats and for the sun and sky and clouds and for my pink bed.”

Eden 11:24e2“I am thankful for having all the things I need and I am thankful for getting a little bit of treats and good teacher. I am thankful for my family.”
