ROARING IN LIKE A LION…

With a week consumed by finishing our Weaving Study for the Southern Vermont Arts Center “Art From The Schools” Exhibition, the 5/6s did not have time to complete the typical Newsletter routine. So here is what you need to know:

………

SVAC – “ART FROM THE SCHOOLS” EXHIBITION!

The art show will be up for nearly a month… if you have not had the opportunity to see it, swing by the Southern Vermont Arts Center anytime (during business hours, of course) for a real treat! Nearly 450 people attended the art opening on Saturday, so congratulate your 5/6 on making the big time!

SEEKING TUBES FOR MARBLE RUN STRUCTURES!

… BY TOMORROW!

The 5/6s are hosting a Creative Makery at Town Meeting with a Marble Run theme. If you happen to have spare tubes of any sort lying around, or in your recycle bin, please give them the opportunity to become part of a building extravaganza that we are organizing for the school! We need all tubes to arrive by drop-off tomorrow, March 8, 2017.

………

PI DAY POTLUCK PI(E) PARTY!

Join the 5/6s in celebrating mathematics and our classroom community during a drop-off time celebration! Get out your cookie cutters and bundt cake forms because all foods must be in the shape of a circle (pie, quiche, bagels, circular fruit slices, round cheeses, etc…)! Foods in other shapes are not welcome at these festivities as the whole point of a Pi Day Potluck Pi(e) Party is to start building a connection between the very special number known as “Pi” and CIRCLES!
