Click to register. For campers entering Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. Local art teacher extraordinaire, Stacy Gates, owner of Manchester Arts Studio and Gallery leads campers on an artful exploration of our feathered friends. Mornings will be spent in classic camp fun including nature exploration, group games, songs, crafts, and water play. After lunch, Stacy dives in with a “bird’s eye view”. With over 10,000 species of birds, we will have many choices for inspiration this week. Parrots, penguins, owls, eagles, flamingos and chickens are just a few that we can learn about, ask questions about and, of course, make art about. $220. Bio.

Local art teacher extraordinaire, Stacy Gates, owner of Manchester Arts Studio and Gallery facilitates an exploration of the art created by native cultures. Learning about the incredible art created in different countries is a fantastic way to teach our children about diversity. We will use this as our inspiration as we create a variety of art projects and learn about the history, culture, language, food, music and games of people from around the world. Mornings will be spent in classic camp fun including nature exploration, group games, songs, crafts, and water play. After lunch, Stacy guides campers through artistic adventures around the globe. $220. Bio.

About our Camp Staff:
Stacy Gates is an artist, crafts-person and highly regarded educator from Manchester, VT. She has taught a wide range of camps, classes and workshops in the Northshire area for more than 15 years and is known for her fun-loving, creative teaching style. Stacy is currently the art teacher at The Downtown School, owner of Manchester Arts Studio and Gallery and also works under the Create with Bogate name. She lives in Manchester Center with her husband, has two wonderful children in their early twenties, 3 dogs and a cat.
Alexandra Langstaff is the movement and yoga teacher at The Downtown School. She has been a beloved member of the educational community in our region for many years with her famous Hullaballoo movement classes, yoga classes, and other creative offerings for young children. Her innovative programs began with a background in early childhood and elementary education and modern dance, along with 20 years in the ski industry. She holds a BS in Early Childhood Education from UVM and a MA in Creativity Studies from Union Institute and University. Her commitment to her craft is evident in her ongoing education at the Creative Dance Center in Seattle, Washington; the National Dance Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico; the Circus Yoga at Kripalu in Lenox, Massachusetts; and presenting for the National Dance Association.
